Each year on the 8th of March it’s International Woman’s Day. This Holiday, which is primarily celebrated in Eastern Europe doesn’t get much attention over here. It’s a shame since it is an excellent occasion to celebrate womanhood as opposed to Valentine’s Day, which is just for the romantic or Mother’s Day, exclusively for the ones with offspring.

When I think of International Women’s Day I see loving, strong women. Women who managed to keep their families together in a war zone. Women who have survived breast cancer or are preparing themselves for the big fight as we speak. Women who against all prejudice went for a professional career instead of a family life and made it to the top of their profession. Everyday women like you and me, who are making the best of everyday life!
